Bespoke moulding project

Modernising the display in Howdens Joinery stores of 100 decorative mouldings.

World Gymnastics 2022

Managed the fit out of the World Gymnastics Championship Venue for Liverpool City Council.

Liverpool ACC Screen

Installed a bespoke screen into the Liverpool ACC.

Quick To Adapt

In early 2020, we adapted quickly at the beginning of the pandemic. Within weeks we had created a safe working environment and were busy making protective till screens for our retail clients. During the first lockdown, we installed over 120 screens and 2 video walls in LFC’s training centre.

Purpose Build Workspace

PPL relocated to a purpose-built HQ and printing/manufacturing facility in a business park in Speke, Liverpool. Enabling us to invest in additional printing technology to better serve our clients.

LED Video Walls at The Open

PPL Screens achieved a significant milestone by winning its first major commission for an LED Video Wall installation. Designing & installing 17 LED Video Walls at The Open Championship. These screens are now part of the supporter on course experience.

New Venture – LED Screens

PPL Screens was launched to complement our existing signage business. We trained part of the workforce and recruited additional staff. Within six months, we installed our first LED Wall. Today, PPL Screens are an integral part of the business.

New Print Technologies

Print technology allowed for mass printing of gold foiling on programmes.

Programme Publishing – Major Events

Programmes published for the Rugby League World Cup, Rugby World Cup and Manchester Commonwealth Games

Busy Decade

In 1996 Programme Publications Limited was incorporated. Technological advancements allowed souvenir programmes to feature full-colour illustrations throughout. Published programmes for the 1995 Rugby World Cup, the Scottish Football League and the Football League Cup Final and Playoffs Programmes in England.

Creating A One Stop Shop

Programme Publications Limited and Creative Services (Liverpool) Limited merge creating a one-stop shop for design and print publications

Creative Services established

Creative Services (Liverpool) Limited was established based in Seel Street, Liverpool.

New Clients

During this decade PPL published The Open and Rugby Football Union Souvenir Programmes for the first time. Colour covers were introduced for Wimbledon and by the end of the decade colour also was starting to appear on the inside pages.

Wimbledon – relationship starts 1947

The 1947 Wimbledon programme was printed as usual by Kelly & Kelly, with Programme Publications Ltd brought in to look after distribution and advert sales. Subsequently, PPL went on to be the publisher, which is a relationship that continues to the present day.

The founding of the Company

The company was founded after the proprietor was asked by a Naval Officer to publish a programme for the 1947 Cowes Week.
