Scottish Rugby programme renewal

We’re thrilled to announce the renewal of our agreement with the Scottish Rugby Union to publish and retail their official match programmes. As they kick off their Guinness Six Nations 2024 campaign, PPL is proud to be a part of the action.

The PPL Group on behalf of Scotland Rugby (SR) produce and sell programmes for the men’s Six Nations, Autumn Internationals Series, and Scotland’s Summer International ahead of the Rugby World Cup.

Working closely with Scottish Rugby’s communications & branding teams, we created a visual style for the programme that reflected the SR’s core branding values each match, projecting the excitement of the occasion, the teams, and the sport of rugby.

The programme is illustrated with exciting action photography to enhance the readership and add impact to the features. The feature articles and editorial content are agreed upon in advance and written by leading rugby writers under contract.

Our in-house sales team organise the sales operation, liaising with the Scottish Rugby stakeholders including their hospitality and retail teams to ensure a smooth-running sales operation, the programmes are sold via branded sales booths, and the Scotland Rugby merchandise store and made available to buy worldwide via our online store.

As the stadium is cashless, PDQs were used throughout.

The team at PPL in the last couple of years alone have published programmes and other publications including the Army, Navy & RAF Rugby, Barbarians, Birmingham Commonwealth Games, British & Irish Lions, Burghley Horse Trails, ECB – Test, ODI, T20 and Vitality Blast, England Rugby, Hurlingham Club Tennis, NFL (London, Munich and Frankfurt), R&A including The Open, Walker Cup, Wimbledon and UK Athletics.  The PPL Group are the UK’s leading sports programme publisher.
