Epsom Playhouse / 2016 – present
Brief: Update the annual show guides and pantomime programme and to sell advertising space.
Solution: Our work involved designing a new layout where we introduced an easy-to-read A5 size format with a flexible page count and paid particular attention to enhancing the photography. Additionally, we introduced a new paper stock, managed the print process, and provided a cost-effective packing and fulfilment solution to ensure that the show guide reaches the Epsom Playhouse Members.
By introducing a digital, page-turner version of each guide with advertiser hyperlinks, accessible from the Playhouse website and social media, we have allowed the guide to reach a wider audience.
The combination of physical and digital show guides has opened up new advertising opportunities and enabled us to help grow the advertising income for our client. The success of the initial Show Guide project has led to PPL being contracted to publish the Epsom Playhouse Pantomime programs and install digital screens within the Epsom Playhouse to create a messaging platform and additional advertising opportunities.
The fulfilment of show guides/programmes to Epsom Playhouse Members is managed by The PPL Group, we organise the mail out and report back any database changes.
Result: Epsom Playhouse have 4 publications per year, all feature on the playhouses website, advertising income has grown creating a new revenue stream for the playhouse.
The PPL Group also installed digital displays screens within the Epsom Playhouse Box Office area, bar and outside the playhouse, these screens have provide the playhouse to promote productions, events and services in a highly visual way, which attracts the attention of it’s members, visitor and passer-by. The introduction of screens has also opened up an new advertising channel for the playhouse, proving an additional revenue stream. Read the case study here.
