The team at PPL certainly understands the work that goes into the production of each little yellow flag. The flags are screen-printed by hand—actually, screen-printed twice by hand. Firstly, the red flag number is printed, followed by The Open logo and course information.
Each flag is then hand-rolled and placed in its protective tube. We print over 10,000 of these flags each year, and 2023 is no exception. So, if you’re lucky enough to go to The Open or view it on TV, look out for the little yellow pin flags.
