The R&A Sustainability Golf Hub
With a quick 3 week turnaround, we design and installed the new Sustainability tent at 151st The Open.
At The PPL Group, sustainability is at the core of our business and activities. We actively encourage all stakeholders, including customers, to embrace sustainable practices.
So, we were delighted when The R&A approach us to work on a project that could demonstrate their work and commitment to sustainability across their organisation and the sport.
Golf Course 2030 – is The R&A’s commitment to increasing the adoption of sustainable golf practices
The R&A provided us with a hexagonal-shaped unit, that was to be fully open at the front, and asked us to devise a solution to visualise the information they wanted to present. Our solution was a constructed display which came from the centre in a wedge-like shape; which the spectators could walk in and out of around the inside of the hub. There was also an interactive element at the back of the unit, which allowed visitors to pledge what they could do personally to help make their golf experience more sustainable.
The Suitability Hub was launched at the practice grounds at the 151st Open at Royal Liverpool.
PPL is committed to ensuring compliance with all client and legislative requirements for sustainability with each project run in accordance with the ISO20121-2012 standard for Sustainable Events Management. For the PPL Sustainability notice, click here
