For over 70 years, The PPL Group have produced and sold the official programme for the Open Golf Championship, held at some of the most iconic golf courses in the UK.

Working closely with the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews (R&A) communications & branding teams, we create a visual style for the programme that reflects golf’s core branding value and projects the prestigious and excitement of The Open.

The programme is illustrated with exciting action photography to enhance the readership and add impact to the features.  The features and editorial content are agreed upon in advance and leading golf writers are contracted to write the features.

Our in-house sales team organise the sales operation, liaising with the R&A’s stakeholders including hospitality to ensure a smooth-running sales operation, there are approximately 20 sales location located inside and outside of the ticketed areas.

The programmes are sold via branded sales boot and made available to buy worldwide via our Online Store

As the Open is cashless, PDQs were used throughout.

Our printer partner is provided with a delivery schedule and was asked to label each box by name and destination and if required, off-site to outlets hosting hospitality parties.  Programmes are delivered early morning of a match day and delivered to all retail, hospitality and other locations.
